Volleyball Recap: Spearfish Comes Up Short

Spearfish lost against Watertown back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell just short of the Arrows by a score of 2-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Julia Billington paced Spearfish's offense, picking up 11 kills. Billington got some help from Kali Reiners and her 27 assists. Billington was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Spearfish now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Watertown, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Spearfish wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Huron on the 30th. As for Watertown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Dell Rapids on the 30th.
