Volleyball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion extended their losing streak to 19 on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-21. They lost 3-0 to the Peru Tigers. If the Giants were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Peru, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0).

Peru was led to victory by Addison Butt and Lilly Steele. Butt had six aces and three digs, while Steele had 11 digs and one assist. Butt is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 19 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Marion has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Fort Wayne South Side on the 4th. As for Peru, they will square off against Lewis Cass at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
