Basketball Recap: West Rutland Takes Down Ranked Hazen

On Saturday, West Rutland faced Hazen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The West Rutland Golden Horde beat the Hazen Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 54-49. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Horde sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

West Rutland's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Hazen, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Rutland will square off against Otter Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hazen, they will head out on the road to challenge Enosburg Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
