Softball Game Preview: McMahon Senators vs. Trumbull Eagles

McMahon hasn't had much luck against Trumbull recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Senators will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. McMahon has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

McMahon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Staples on Monday. They lost 17-2 to the Wreckers.

Isabella Spagnuolo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Trumbull never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Hand with a sharp 17-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Trumbull's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for McMahon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
