Preview: Wesson Cobras vs. Franklin County Bulldogs
Wesson is 2-8 against Franklin County since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wesson Cobras will head out on the road to face off against the Franklin County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Wesson has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
Wesson suffered their biggest loss since December 11, 2023 on Tuesday. Their tough 77-56 defeat to South Pike might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wesson in their matchups with South Pike: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Franklin County ended up a good deal behind Port Gibson on Friday and lost 65-47.
Wesson's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Wesson was dealt a bruising 70-38 loss at the hands of Franklin County in their previous matchup on January 9th. Can Wesson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
