Football Game Preview: Washington Patriots vs. Jefferson Cougars + Official Tickets

Washington hasn't had much luck against Jefferson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Washington has given up an average of 34.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Washington's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Musselman on Friday. They took a blow against the Applemen, falling 44-0.

Meanwhile, Jefferson entered their tilt with John Champe on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Knights 24-22. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 13th in West Virginia, while the Knights are ranked 104th in Virginia) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jefferson now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Washington took a serious blow against Jefferson in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 40-13. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Patriots were down 21-0.
