Softball Preview: Garrett Railroaders vs. Heritage Patriots
The Garrett Railroaders are on the road again on Tuesday to play the Heritage Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Garrett will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
On Saturday, Garrett earned an 11-7 win over Fort Wayne Snider.
The team relied heavily on Sarah Depew, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Adelynn Work was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Heritage didn't have quite enough to beat South Adams on Thursday and fell 2-1.
Danica Fuller put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk).
