Basketball Game Preview: Las Animas Trojans vs. Syracuse Bulldogs

The Las Animas Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Syracuse Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Las Animas is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Las Animas earned a 30-18 victory over Elkhart. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly 12 points.

Las Animas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Labarge, who posted five points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That's the most boards Labarge has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadann Eck, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points.

Meanwhile, Syracuse beat Cheyenne Wells 43-34 on Tuesday.

Las Animas' record is now 3-0. As for Syracuse, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.
