Marshalltown is 9-1 against Fort Dodge since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Marshalltown Bobcats will head out to square off against the Fort Dodge Dodgers at 7:45 p.m.

Marshalltown came up short against Waterloo West on Thursday, falling 65-43. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Wahawks are ranked 38th).

Meanwhile, Fort Dodge hadn't done well against Mason City recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Fort Dodge secured a 44-39 W over Mason City. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Dodgers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Fort Dodge's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Marshalltown, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Marshalltown took their victory against Fort Dodge when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 56-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marshalltown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
