Basketball Game Preview: Manhattan Christian Eagles vs. Jefferson Panthers

Manhattan Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Manhattan Christian Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jefferson Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Manhattan Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Jefferson likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Manhattan Christian against Shields Valley as the squad secured a 78-31 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Jefferson's game on Thursday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 56-47 to Broadwater. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Manhattan Christian will need to focus on slowing down Tyler Frydenlund, one of several Jefferson players who made an impact when they last played. He posted eight points and ten boards. Frydenlund has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyzer Zody, who scored 11 points.

Manhattan Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Everything went Manhattan Christian's way against Jefferson when the teams last played back in January, as Manhattan Christian made off with a 75-52 win. Will Manhattan Christian repeat their success, or does Jefferson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
