Baseball Recap: Tenino Comes Up Short

Tenino was the 14-0 winner over Hoquiam when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Beavers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies on Tuesday. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tenino saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucien McKendall, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Brayden Bennett was another, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Tenino's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15-1. As for Hoquiam, their win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tenino beat the Grizzlies by a score of 6-1 later that day.
