Basketball Recap: Calumet Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Calumet won the last time they faced Hydro-Eakly and things went their way on Friday too. The Calumet Chieftains took down the Hydro-Eakly Bobcats 74-56. Given the Chieftains' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Bobcats are ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Calumet pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Hydro-Eakly, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calumet will take on Okarche at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Okarche's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Hydro-Eakly, they will square off against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hydro-Eakly is facing Thomas-Fay-Custer at the right time seeing as Thomas-Fay-Custer is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
