There's no place like home for Gray's Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the South View Tigers 41-39. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Layla Fox was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Those 20 points gave her a new career-high.

Gray's Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, South View saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Na'Mor Henderson dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Gray's Creek's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for South View, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gray's Creek will venture away from home to take on Jack Britt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South View, they will head out to face off against Lumberton at 6:00 p.m. on December 3.
