Soccer Game Preview: St. Xavier vs. Plainfield

The St. Xavier Tigers will head out to square off against the Plainfield Quakers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

St. Xavier is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Evansville Memorial, who was ranked fourth in their home state at the time (St. Xavier was ranked first). St. Xavier fell just short of Evansville Memorial by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The loss was St. Xavier's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Plainfield had just enough and edged out Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran 2-1 on Friday.

Raiden Brandgard and Trey Kendall scored both of the Quakers' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

The win got Plainfield back to even at 4-4-3. As for St. Xavier, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-1-2.
