Softball Recap: Dyer County Choctaws vs. Westview Chargers

Dyer County barely beat Westview the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dyer County Choctaws blew past the Westview Chargers 17-3 on Thursday. With that victory, the Choctaws brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Katie Caldwell was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierstyn Ray, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Dyer County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
