Volleyball Game Preview: Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats vs. Pacific Bay Christian Eagles

The Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Pacific Bay Christian Eagles at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Summit Shasta just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Black Bears by a score of 3-2. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Black Bears 25-19 in the first set.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley wouldn't go down easily and took Summit Shasta into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-17, 25-18, 24-26, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Pacific Bay Christian came up short against Design Tech on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Pacific Bay Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-20.

Pacific Bay Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
