Baseball Game Preview: Niles Vikings vs. Three Rivers Wildcats

The Niles Vikings will head out to square off against the Three Rivers Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Niles' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Three Rivers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, Niles and Buchanan finished up their game with a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Three Rivers' good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 10-3 to Constantine.

Peyton Hradsky made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Williams, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Niles' draw makes their record 22-6-1 this season. As for Three Rivers, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.

Niles took their win against Three Rivers in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
