Volleyball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the High Tech CV Bruins.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-7, 25-9.

High Tech CV found their leader in sophomore Jasmine Bautista, who had 13 assists and seven aces. Bautista is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for High Tech CV, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

River Valley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on King-Chavez Community at 3:45 p.m. on September 11. As for High Tech CV, they will be taking part in a tournament against San Ysidro at 5:30 p.m. on September 5.
