Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Lone Star's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Lone Star unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Dolores Bears by a score of 2-1.

Jade Kuntz paced Lone Star's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kuntz got some help from Grace Cochran and her 14 assists. Finally, Audrey Wade kept Lone Star's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Lone Star's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Dolores, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

Coming up, Lone Star will take on Weldon Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dolores, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Ridgway on the 21st.
