Football Recap: Oakdale Takes a Loss

Oakdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 41-7 loss at the hands of the Midway Green Wave. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 50-14 to the Green Wave when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oakdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Midway, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakdale will welcome Harriman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.86 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Midway, they will be playing at home against Wartburg Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Green Wave will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
