Denver South fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Vista PEAK Prep on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bison by a score of 6-5. The Ravens' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hunter Vitello was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Denver South saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Komarowsky, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Another was Ricardo Martinez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Denver South's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Vista PEAK Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.
