Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Chapin couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 49-41 to the Birdville Hawks on Friday. The Huskies' defeat signaled the end of their 25-game winning streak.

Chapin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jayden Leverett, who posted 18 points. That was a full 43.9% of Chapin's points, marking the third time in a row Leverett has earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Savion Jordan, who had 13 points.

Chapin's loss dropped their record down to 35-2. As for Birdville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 34-3.

Chapin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Birdville, they will square off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Heritage's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
