Basketball Recap: Lindblom Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ogden International last Friday, Lindblom came back down to earth. The Lindblom Eagles came up short against the Dyett Eagles on Monday, falling 66-46. If Lindblom was looking for revenge after losing 52-45 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Keyanna Sanderson was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 29 points, ten boards, and ten steals for Dyett. Sanderson also posted eight blocks, which is notable because Dyett is 5-2 when she posts at least three blocks, but 5-7 otherwise. Rajeh Gardner was another key player, putting up 21 points and five rebounds.

Lindblom's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Dyett, they pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Lindblom Eagles take on the Hyde Park Thunderbirds at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lindblom is facing Hyde Park at the right time seeing as Hyde Park is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Dyett, they will welcome Crane Medical at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
