Baseball Recap: Mountain Pointe Has No Trouble Against Beaverton

Mountain Pointe picked up another tournament win on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Beaverton Beavers by a score of 7-3. That looming 7-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pride yet this season.

Jaxson Adamson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kai Klepfer was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Mountain Pointe and bumps their season record up to 4-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Beaverton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-2.

Mountain Pointe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Quartz Hill on the 26th. As for Beaverton, they will face off against Sandy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Beaverton surely won't give up without a fight.
