Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Heritage Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.59 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against the Holmes Bulldogs, falling 10-4. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 9-2.

Heritage Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Holtman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for Holmes, their victory ended a 17-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-18.

Coming up, Heritage Academy will welcome Bellevue at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holmes, they will challenge Ludlow at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
