Basketball Game Preview: Dayton Broncos vs. Porter Spartans

Dayton hasn't had much luck against Porter recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dayton Broncos will head out to face off against the Porter Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Dayton will be strutting in after a victory while Porter will be coming in after a loss.

Dayton's tournament run continued when they took on Fort Bend Willowridge on Friday. Dayton enjoyed a cozy 79-61 win over Fort Bend Willowridge. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Meanwhile, Porter played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Montgomery, falling 67-35. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 975th, while the Bears are ranked 288th).

Dayton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Porter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Dayton couldn't quite finish off Porter when the teams last played back in February and fell 38-36. Can Dayton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
