Soccer Recap: Waunakee Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Oregon

Waunakee faced Oregon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Waunakee haven't been shut out since back in April.

Waunakee's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 10-2-3. As for Oregon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waunakee will face off against Verona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oregon, they will take on Pewaukee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
