Basketball Game Preview: Geneseo Blue Devils vs. Le Roy Oatkan Knights

The Geneseo Blue Devils will face off against the Le Roy Oatkan Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Geneseo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Le Roy likes a good challenge.

Geneseo will bounce into Friday's match after beating Caledonia-Mumford, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Everything went Geneseo's way against Caledonia-Mumford on Tuesday as Geneseo made off with a 75-55 win. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Le Roy came up short against Spencerport on Monday and fell 70-60. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Oatkan Knights came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Rangers are ranked 414th).

Geneseo has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Le Roy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.

Geneseo was taken down by Le Roy 93-50 when the teams last played back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Geneseo was down 52-26.
