Friday just wasn't the day for Pearl's offense. They came up short against the Northwest Rankin Cougars on Friday, falling 15-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Pearl's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Northwest Rankin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pearl will welcome Brandon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brandon will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Pearl surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northwest Rankin, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Clinton at 12:00 p.m. Northwest Rankin's pitchers better be ready for this one: Clinton has averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
