Archbishop Spalding has no trouble against Calvert Hall

The Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers waltzed into Wednesday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Calvert Hall with points to spare, taking the game 68-51. That's another feather in the cap for Archbishop Spalding, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Calvert Hall still got an impressive performance from Brendan Johnson, who scored 23 points along with 9 rebounds. Johnson scored a full 45.1% of Calvert Hall's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terry Fields, who scored 5 points.

Archbishop Spalding's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Calvert Hall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Archbishop Spalding will be playing at home against Loyola Blakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Calvert Hall is on the road again on Friday and play against Mount St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. One thing working in Mount St. Joseph's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
