Even though Voyager scored an imposing 12 runs on Thursday, Northern Durham still came out on top. The Northern Durham Knights walked away with a 15-12 win over the Voyager Vikings. With that victory, Northern Durham brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Liam Hawkes was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off seven hits. Hawkes was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and a double.
