Mechanicsburg took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Delaware Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians won by a set and slipped past the Eagles 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Mechanicsburg took Delaware Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 15-7.

Milee Severt paced Mechanicsburg's offense, picking up ten kills. Severt got some help from Sydnee Hurst and her 24 assists. Severt also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kenzie Stillings, each putting up four.

Despite the defeat, Delaware Christian had strong showings from Achaia Marquis, who had 31 assists and ten digs, and Ashlyn McCoy, who had 18 digs and two assists.

Mechanicsburg's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Delaware Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Mechanicsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delaware Christian, they will take on Danville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
