Basketball Recap: Crookston Comes Up Short

Crookston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-50 loss at the hands of the Pelican Rapids Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Vikings are ranked 45th).

Crookston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Pelican Rapids, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Crookston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-41 loss against Perham on the 4th. Pelican Rapids has also already played their next contest (against Menahga), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
