Soccer Recap: Dawson Comes Up Short

Dawson entered their game against Pasadena Memorial on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Dawson Eagles fell just short of the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Eagles couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

This is the second loss in a row for Dawson and nudges their season record down to 5-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-5 Dobie (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 68.1% over those games). As for Pasadena Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Coming up, Dawson will challenge Shadow Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pasadena Memorial, they will take on Dobie at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dobie will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Pasadena Memorial surely won't give up without a fight.
