Soccer Recap: South San Francisco Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for South San Francisco after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Menlo-Atherton Bears by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 661st, while the Bears are ranked 66th).

South San Francisco has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Menlo-Atherton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

As of now, neither South San Francisco nor Menlo-Atherton have any future games scheduled.
