West-Oak gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Wren Hurricanes with a sharp 8-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.
Abi Blackwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Blackwell was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
