Baseball Recap: Kalama Comes Up Short

Kalama was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tenino Beavers.

Hudson Moon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Nash Logue also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Kalama's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Tenino, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kalama will welcome Napavine at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Chinooks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tenino, they will face off against Montesano at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Beavers have won five straight at home dating back to last season, while the Bulldogs won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
