 Denver Christian has been on the road for four straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Byers Bulldogs at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
 Denver Christian will bounce into Friday's   contest after  beating Colorado Academy, who they hadn't topped in seven consecutive meetings. Denver Christian came out on top against Colorado Academy by a score of  13-9  on Tuesday.
  Brayden Epperhart and  Mason Reilly were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing,  Epperhart   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  Reilly   struck out nine batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   four  hits. At the plate,  Epperhart  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Reilly  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Nathan Buehrer was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Caleb Stork, who  scored three  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Byers had to settle for  a  17-15 defeat against Dayspring Christian Academy on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Tuesday (11), Byers still had to take the loss.
 Denver Christian pushed their record up to 14-4 with that  win, which was their 12th straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Byers, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record  this season.
 Everything went Denver Christian's way against Byers when the teams last played  back in May of 2023 as Denver Christian made off with  an  8-0 victory. Does  Denver Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Byers turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
