Basketball Game Preview: DeKalb Tigers vs. West Platte Bluejays

The DeKalb Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the West Platte Bluejays at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-29, which was the final score in DeKalb's tilt against South Nodaway on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, West Platte earned a 38-29 victory over Lawson on Friday.

DeKalb's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for West Platte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

DeKalb ended up a good deal behind West Platte when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 43-24. Can DeKalb avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
