Recap: Cazenovia Lakers vs. Adirondack Wildcats
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Cazenovia Lakers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 34-27 to Adirondack on Friday. Cazenovia's defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Despite the defeat, Cazenovia saw an underclassman step up: Robert Livingston threw for 270 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Brayden Weismore was another key contributor, gaining 90 total yards and two touchdowns.
John Hennessey was a one-man wrecking crew for Adirondack as he rushed for 281 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Hennessey's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.
Cazenovia's loss dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Adirondack, their win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Cazenovia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Adirondack will head out on the road to face off against General Brown at 12:00 p.m. on November 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (General Brown is ranked 77th, while Adirondack is ranked 85th).
