North came into Monday's contest looking for another win against East, but Ariyah Carter wouldn't allow it. It took a bit of extra time, but the Dragons secured a 45-39 victory against the Vikings in overtime on Monday thanks in part to Carter: he dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Carter now owns an excellent 45.7% field goal percentage.

Autumn Hosey was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

When it comes to explaining why North lost, don't look at Ce'Airah Underwood. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 33 points and 17 rebounds. Underwood's big performance that evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 21 points.

East's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for North, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
