Basketball Recap: Chevak Takes a Loss

After flying high against Alakanuk on Thursday, Chevak came back down to earth. The Chevak Comets took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hooper Bay Warriors on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Chevak's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Hooper Bay, they moved to 9-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Chevak has already played their next matchup (against Dillingham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hooper Bay, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-34 defeat against Unalakleet on the 7th.
