Football Game Preview: Haskell Haymakers vs. Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats

The Haskell Haymakers will head out to challenge the Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Haskell will be strutting in after a win while Chouteau-Mazie will be coming in after a loss.

Haskell's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Warner 37-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Haymakers considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

Pj Faul produced another solid performance rushing for 118 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 147 yards on 12 of 22 attempts. Jake Faul also helped out with an impressive 88 receiving yards.

Haskell's run defense was locked in: Warner could only muster 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Jacobi Jones for the heroic effort on defense: he. Haskell didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.5.

Meanwhile, Chouteau-Mazie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against Hartshorne, falling 66-8.

The victory got Haskell back to even at 3-3. As for Chouteau-Mazie, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Haskell's way against Chouteau-Mazie in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Haskell made off with a 55-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Haymakers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
