Football Preview: Somerset Eagles vs. Bishop McCort Crushers        
        
		
             Somerset and Bishop McCort are an even 5-5 against one another  since October of 2014, but  not for long. The Somerset Eagles will head out to  take on the Bishop McCort Crushers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Somerset will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  points each  matchup than the last.
 Somerset is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They put the hurt on Westmont Hilltop with a sharp  40-20 win on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  victory the Eagles have posted  against the Hilltoppers since October 9, 2015.
  Camden Lowery was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 180 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since  back in September of 2023.  Rowan Holmes was another key rusher, rushing for 136 yards on only 12 carries.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Somerset was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 388  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 191  rushing yards in three consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Bishop McCort was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were dealt  a  34-0 loss at the hands of Richland. While losing is never fun, the Crushers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings  (they are ranked 361st, while the Rams are ranked 166th).

 The  win  got Somerset back to even at 2-2. As for Bishop McCort, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Everything came up roses for Somerset against Bishop McCort in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023 as the  team secured  a  34-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Somerset since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
