Softball Recap: Denair Finds Playoff Glory Versus Vacaville Christian

Denair extended their postseason success on Thursday against Vacaville Christian. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Falcons. That's two games straight that the Coyotes have won by exactly ten runs.

The team relied heavily on Havyn Boucher, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braelyn Marroquin, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Denair always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vacaville Christian only posted an OBP of .400.

The victory made it two in a row for Denair and bumps their season record up to 14-9. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Vacaville Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Denair will challenge Foresthill at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildfires have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.8 runs per game on average), something the Coyotes will no doubt try to take advantage of. Vacaville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
