Basketball Recap: Fairfield's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Fairfield was riding high fresh off their 61-25 takedown of Florin last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fairfield Falcons fell 63-54 to the Foothill Mustangs on Wednesday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 60-52.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfield lost, don't look at Johnnie Jones. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarre Davis, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Foothill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tomari Harris, who had 14 points. Jacquise Frederick was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Fairfield's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6. As for Foothill, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8.

Fairfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-43 win against Armijo on the 31st. Foothill has also already played their next contest, a 76-43 victory against Valley on the 31st.
