Recap: Compass Charter Aviators vs. North Star Huskies
The Compass Charter Aviators had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 32-30 victory over North Star on Wednesday. The win was just what Compass Charter needed coming off of a 43-23 defeat in their prior game.
Reanna Byers was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 21 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Compass Charter's points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Kartchner, who scored four points along with eight steals.
Compass Charter's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for North Star, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Non Varsity Opponent the next time they take the court. Compass Charter will host Non Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while North Star will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
