Basketball Recap: Gloucester Catholic Rams vs. Burlington Township Falcons
It was a good run, but the Gloucester Catholic Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Sunday. They took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burlington Township.
Burlington Township's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quayd Hendryx, who scored 19 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hendryx has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aaron Ferguson, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Gloucester Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Burlington Township, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Gloucester Catholic will take on the Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully the Rams like a good challenge. As for Burlington Township, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Red Devils at 5:15 p.m. on February 5th.
