Basketball Game Preview: Amity Warriors vs. Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers

The Amity Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Amity is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Amity is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Sheridan 78-42 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted since February 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Blanchet Catholic came up short against Taft on Tuesday, falling 68-46. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Tigers are ranked 29th).

Amity's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Blanchet Catholic, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Amity was able to grind out a solid victory over Blanchet Catholic in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, winning 51-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Amity since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
