Union Pines had won two straight games and Ashanti Fox did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Union Pines Vikings blew past the Southern Lee Cavaliers 74-18 thanks in part to Fox, who went 15-for-23 to rack up 41 points and five steals. The match was her 22nd in a row with at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Phillips-Rosa, who posted four points and three steals. Those three steals gave her a new career-high.

Union Pines' victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Southern Lee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union Pines will square off against Pinecrest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Union Pines has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three contests. As for Southern Lee, they will challenge Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Lee is facing Lee County at the right time seeing as Lee County is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
